It is with great sadness that we announce the Peak District Mighty Hike has been cancelled as a result of Covid-19. More information on next steps can be found in the FAQs. We are now working closely with local stakeholders to confirm a date for 2022.

What happens to my place?

We have sent an email to everyone who was registered to the Peak District Mighty Hike which contains a unique link to a 'Next Steps' form where you can choose what to do with your place. The following options are available:

1. Transfer to 2022
2. Transfer to another Mighty Hike in 2021
3. Cancel and get a refund of registration fee
4. Cancel and donate registration fee

The email also contains a link to let us know if you plan to do your own DIY Mighty Hike this year.

If you were registered and haven't received this email, please contact hiking@macmillan.org.uk.

Can I transfer to another Mighty Hike?

We have sent an email to everyone who was registered to the Peak District Mighty Hike which contains a unique link to a 'Next Steps' form where you can choose what to do with your place.

There is the option to transfer to another Mighty Hike this year, provided there are places still available, or transfer to 2022.

We are working closely with local stakeholders to confirm a date for the Peak District Mighty Hike in 2022. When we announce the date, if you find you cannot make it, you will be given the option to transfer to another Mighty Hike or cancel and get a refund.

Can I get a refund of my registration fee?

There is the option to cancel a get a full refund of the registration fee. The deadline to request a refund is Friday 30 July 2021.

What happens to my fundraising?

If you transfer your place to 2022 or to another Mighty Hike this year, any fundraising you have already done will still count towards your £250 pledge.

If you have a JustGiving page we will work with JustGiving to get the event name and event date updated. Please allow up to one month for this to show.

If you cancel your place and want a refund of your fundraising, please email fundraising@macmillan.org.uk for information on how to arrange this.

Can I do my own hike instead?

We have emailed everyone who was registered to take part in the Peak District Mighty Hike with a link to a short form to tell us if you plan to do your own DIY Mighty Hike.

You will receive a welcome email containing a support guide, with tips on how to plan the day and stay safe. Everyone will be sent a virtual medal after completing their DIY Mighty Hike and will also be given the option to request a physical medal in the post.

This option is available whether or not you cancel or transfer your place.
