The Northumberland Coast is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with some of the most stunning coastal scenery in the UK. Starting in the grounds of Alnwick Castle, famous for featuring in films such as Harry Potter, the route takes you past pristine beaches and through beautiful villages until reaching the finish line at Bamburgh Castle.View hike map

There is a 10% discount on the registration fee for teams of 5+. The discount code is generated when you complete the registration form which you need to enter in the promotional code box before proceeding to payment.
The Team Captain will receive a unique registration link in their confirmation email which can be forwarded on to any new individual who wants to join the team. Please note that the team start time may not be available if all places have been filled.
Yes, you will need to raise the minimum fundraising amount of £250 for each member of your team. You can, however, choose to split the total in any way you like between the team if some people are comfortable raising more than others.

Parking is available at the start at Alnwick Castle and at the finish at Bamburgh Castle, and you can book this through the registration form.
If you park at the finish at Bamburgh Castle, complimentary shuttles will be running to the start from 6.35am – 8.30am. It’s a 30-minute drive so leave in plenty of time for your start wave. If you park at the start at Alnwick Castle, complimentary shuttles will be running from the finish back to the start from 4pm until 10.00pm.
It is a 13-minute taxi ride from Alnmouth Station to the start at Alnwick Castle. Complimentary coaches will run from the finish at Bamburgh Castle to Alnmouth Station until 10.30pm (35-minute drive).
The hike will start in waves 20 minutes apart, between 8.10am and 10.10am.
Registration will be open between 5pm and 8pm on the Friday before the event, and will re-open between. 7.10am and 10am on event day.
We ask everyone to arrive one hour before their start time and no earlier.
We estimate that the fastest walkers will finish in 7.5 hours while the slowest walkers could take around 12.5 hours. Due to venue restrictions we have to start closing our finish area at 10pm. Therefore, when you choose your start time, please select an earlier wave if you consider yourself a slower walker and a later wave if you consider yourself a faster walker.
