The waiting list works on a first come first serve basis, and will offer out places when a participant has to drop out for any reason. When you get to the top of the list and a place becomes available for you, you will be emailed with an invite to register. You must use the link in this email to register within 7 days, or the link will expire. If you no longer wish to take part, you can decline the invite and the place will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.
We absolutely appreciate supporters are motivated to join our Mighty Hikes because of very personal connections to Macmillan. With this in mind, we recommend you join the waiting list as soon as possible, which will give you the best chance of securing a place on the event. We believe this is the fairest way to guarantee everyone has an equal chance of being invited to join the event.

The Team Captain will receive a unique registration link in their confirmation email which can be forwarded on to any new individual who wants to join the team. Please note that the team start time may not be available if all places have been filled.

Second pit stop (17 miles): 4.45pm
We estimate that the fastest walkers will finish in 7.5 hours while the slowest walkers could take around 12.5 hours. Due to venue restrictions we have to start closing our finish area at 9.30pm. Therefore, when you choose your start time, please select an earlier wave if you consider yourself a slower walker and a later wave if you consider yourself a faster walker.
